César Manrique dedicated the "Monumento al Campesino" to the farmers of Lanzarote, which had and still have to cope with the extremely difficult conditions on this island and carry out imaginative and inventive forms of agriculture over and over again. In a very abstract form, the monument shows a farmer in the company of a camel and a donkey.
The location where the monument was erected, is the geographical centre of the island of Lanzarote.

In mehreren kleinen Räumen sind Werkstätte , eine Töpferei, eine Weberei und eine Stickerei eingerichtet und können dort besichtigt werden. In einem anderen Teil sind Keramikfiguren, landwirtschaftliche Arbeiten und Geräte sowie eine alte Insel-Kücheneinrichtung ausgestellt.
